Partners Which Host APhA Programs

Many APhA certificate training programs are offered under license agreements with other organizations, such as state pharmacy associations, colleges and universities, and pharmacy chains. This agreement allows the organization to host the APhA certificate training programs.

  • To Register for a Program – Below is a list of organizations that host the APhA certificate training programs at various times throughout the year.  These programs are open to all pharmacists. Please contact any of these organizations to inquire and register for any possible upcoming programs. Inclusion on these lists do not guarantee a program is currently scheduled by a specific licensed partner.
  • To Obtain Course Material – Once registered, the host organization will provide you with access to the course materials.
  • Cost of Program - Prices vary according to the host organization.

Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services

As the learner, you will gain experience interviewing patients, identifying and prioritizing medication-related problems, developing and implementing interventions, and documenting activities.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore various business models and billing strategies and discuss plans for implementation.

Minnesota Pharmacists:  When registering for any APhA MTM program in the country, please alert the organization before you enter the enrollment code.  Minnesota pharmacists are required to complete 12 post cases.  The organization will be sure that you receive the correct information to get your 12 hours of post casework.

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery

This program is based on national educational standards for immunization training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The program, which emphasizes a health care team approach, seeks to foster the implementation of interventions that will promote disease prevention and public health, and prepare pharmacists with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to provide immunization services to patients across the life span.

Please Note: The APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery program is recognized in every state. This allows the pharmacist/pharmacy student to take the program in any state and the education will be recognized in his/her state of practice.

The Pharmacist and Patient-Centered Diabetes Care

Teaching the pharmacist how to integrate diabetes education and management into practice. This overriding goal incorporates the goal of pharmaceutical care, which is to ensure that patients make the best use of their medications and achieve the desired therapeutic outcomes.  This program meets the educational requirement towards a Certified Diabetes Educator.
