APhA-ASP National Standing Committees
Serving as a national leader within the APhA Academy of Student
Pharmacists (APhA–ASP) is both a rewarding and meaningful opportunity to
make an impact on the profession. Much of the work of APhA–ASP is carried
out through its Standing Committees, which play a vital role in advancing
initiatives and representing the interests and perspectives of student
pharmacists nationwide.
Members of the Standing Committees contribute to important discussions
that help shape the direction of the association while serving as advocates
for their peers. Committee members participate in a structured leadership
transition process, engage in professional leadership development
opportunities, and take part in strategic planning and decision making.
Throughout the year, committees meet regularly through monthly
conference calls and collaborate on initiatives that support the mission and
goals of APhA–ASP.
