In 2012, JAPhA celebrated its 100th anniversary. From humble beginnings to becoming one of pharmacy's leading journals, we commemorate its past editors with a unique booklet. James Hartley Beal, the first editor, described its mission in 1912: the journal was brought into existence to serve the necessities of the Association.
In 1852, the Association elected both a Recording Secretary and a Corresponding Secretary. These positions were later merged into a single office called "Permanent Secretary," creating the first Chief Executive Officer role. A CEO Gallery and Presidents Gallery feature is planned for a future phase of this project.
NOTE (BB): CEO Gallery + Presidents Gallery — can omit for now.
A gallery of APhA Annual Meeting dates and locations is planned for a future phase. The badge booklet contains information on convention badges from 1879–1940, gold ladder badges from 1884–1925, and the lapel pin introduced in 1985.
NOTE (BB): Part II — gallery of annual meeting dates/locations + badge booklet.
