APhA‑backed reforms pass Congress—Covering pharmacist care must be next

WASHINGTON, DC (February 3, 2026) — Today, Congress passed funding legislation that includes long-sought federal PBM reforms, supported by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), which are set to be signed into law. These provisions mark meaningful progress toward strengthening pharmacy reimbursement in Medicare and will help pharmacies sustainably dispense medications.
