I currently serve as Dean—the Chief Academic and Budget Officer—for the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. Prior to my appointment as Dean, I served (beginning in 1992) as a member of the school’s faculty.

As Executive Director Ambulatory and Managed Pharmacy Services at Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ, I work with health care payers, providers, and care management teams to design, deploy, and oversee the delivery of a number of clinical pharmacy services. This includes clinic-embedded pharmacists, pharmacist-operated MedCare Clinics, centralized pharmacy services, population health management services, and pharmacy benefit optimization. I am honored to lead a team of passionate pharmacists, pharmacy leaders, pharmacy technicians, and data scientists who are focused on improving medication use at the patient and population level. I also serve as the Residency Program Director for our health-system pharmacy administration residency program, and work closely with our ambulatory pharmacy residency program.

In my current role as Director of Professional Affairs for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), I serve as a liaison to PTCB’s key stakeholders in the pharmacy profession, including state boards of pharmacy, state and national pharmacy organizations, and technician groups. I am responsible for promoting PTCB as the national standard for pharmacy technician certification and monitoring trends that could impact the role of pharmacy technicians. I also work with educators and employers to support pharmacy technicians in obtaining and maintaining certification.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on the Colchester, VT. campus. My practice is in a family medicine clinic affiliated with the University of Vermont Department of Family Medicine, where I work under a collaborative practice agreement to manage chronic diseases as well as serve as a general resource for patient-centered pharmacotherapy.
