Meet your 2021–22 APhA–ASP National Executive Committee: Kennedy M. Erickson, National President-elect
LEADERSHIP
Kennedy M. Erickson is a third-year PharmD candidate at the Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Hello, everyone! I am incredibly honored and grateful to serve as your 2021–22 APhA–ASP National President-elect.
Born and raised in Olympia, WA, I graduated with a BS in neuroscience from Western Washington University and begin my third year as a student pharmacist this fall at the Washington State University (WSU) College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Spokane. No matter where life takes me, I will forever call the state of Washington my home.
I fell in love with APhA–ASP on my first day of school as a first-year student pharmacist during the Policy Committee Meeting of the WSU APhA–ASP Chapter. It was enlightening to learn about the many platforms APhA–ASP provides to guide us in shaping the future of our profession.
Since then, I have been continually inspired to promote and engage in the processes within APhA–ASP that allow us to make actionable change. Last year, I served as APhA–ASP Chapter President-elect and as a member of the APhA–ASP Nominating Committee. As your APhA–ASP National President-elect, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can work together to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our profession.
Outside of pharmacy, my hobbies and self-care activities include hiking, catching up with family and friends, playing piano, doing puzzles, playing Beat Saber, and hanging out with my two cats, Harrison and Ellinor. After graduating from pharmacy school, I’d really like to hike Mt. Rainier.
