GLP-1 receptor agonists, such as Wegovy, Ozempic, and Mounjaro, have been grabbing headlines since 2021 when they were first approved in the United States for weight loss. Their growth has outpaced all expectations, with seemingly everyone knowing someone—family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers—who have used or is using one of these medications.
