WASHINGTON, DC—The American Pharmacists Association announced today that its 2023–2024 class of executive residents and fellows has been selected.
The APhA Executive Postgraduate Training Program was designed to provide pharmacists with training and experience in the fundamentals of association management in order to support APhA’s vision, mission, and brand identity as the leading professional organization representing pharmacists in all practice settings.
During the program year, the residents and fellows contribute to APhA’s strategic priorities and operations through collaborations with staff teams across the organization. The year-long residency begins in June.
The members of the 2023–2024 APhA Executive Postgraduate Training Program cohort are
- Olunife Akinmolayan from University of Findlay College of Pharmacy in Findlay, OH. Akinmolayan will serve in APhA’s practice and government affairs department during their residency.
- Emily Albers from Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA. Albers will serve as the APhA Foundation executive fellow in association management and leadership.
- Maya Harris from Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington, DC. Harris will serve in APhA’s education department during their residency.
- Lauren Howell from University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Columbia, SC. Howell will serve as the postgraduate year 2 APhA fellow in print and digital publishing.
- Sean Kim from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD. Kim will serve in APhA’s education department during their residency.
- Derek King from Shenandoah University Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy in Winchester, VA. King will serve in APhA’s member relations department during their residency.
- Ronald J. Levinson III from University of Florida College of Pharmacy in Gainesville, FL. Levinson will serve in APhA’s practice and government affairs department during their residency.
- Parth Patel from University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. Patel will serve with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties during their residency.
The application period for the next class of executive residents will open in the fall of 2023.
