She is the PGY1/PGY2 Community Based Pharmacy Leadership and Administration resident for the University of South Carolina and Premise Health at Wiggins Family Medical Center and Pharmacy. Through their onsite pharmacy, the pharmacists can assist with patient barriers to medications such as affordability and accessibility. Dani’s passion for diabetes management started when she learned what diabetes is by being involved in her father’s diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. As a child, she wanted to help him “not have to stick himself” every day. Dani carries that same passion forward for her current patients managing diabetes. She has since learned that someone giving themselves injections isn’t always a bad thing and wants to be a cheerleader and advocate for patients managing diabetes.
