The 2022–2023 APhA–ASP National Executive Committee and APhA–ASP Awards Standing Committee excelled in recognizing the outstanding accomplishments and talents of members and chapters as hosts of the APhA–ASP Awards Ceremony at the 2023 APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Phoenix, AZ.

On a night of recognition, inspiration, and celebration in late March, student pharmacists from across the country gathered for the APhA–ASP Opening General Session (OGS) at the 2023 APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Phoenix, AZ. As a type of orientation and a formal welcome to the annual meeting, OGS presents student pharmacist attendees an opportunity to prepare for the weekend and all the exciting information and experiences that accompany it while also providing a platform to reflect on the previous year’s successes of APhA–ASP Chapters nationwide.

There were more than 3,700 attendees at APhA2023 in Phoenix last month, and you cannot understand the magnitude of that many pharmacists and student pharmacists in one place until you experience it firsthand. I had no idea what to expect when walking into my first APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition, but it was one of the most transformative weekends of my life.
