APhA alarmed by claims of harm from acetaminophen without substantive science

As the medication experts, APhA affirms there has been no new evidence in two decades that the use of acetaminophen (Tylenol) in pregnancy causes autism. The two most reputable studies, including one last year, found no significant associations between the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy and children’s risk of autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability.
