Potomac View Terrace

The American Pharmacists Association headquarters, formerly known as the American Institute of Pharmacy and dedicated on May 9, 1934, is the only privately-owned real estate on the National Mall. The original building was designed by John Russell Pope, whose work includes the National Archives, the Jefferson Memorial and the National Gallery of Art, and the design for the building was originally submitted for consideration for a Lincoln Memorial in his home state.

Rates and Availability

Standard rental fees include all building related expenses including all of our event space, a 3,600 square foot seasonal enclosure on the Potomac View Terrace, security, building and cleaning services. Within the seasonal enclosure, we can comfortably accommodate a seated dinner for 250 or a standing reception for 350. Additionally, there is 1,700 square feet of open air space that can also be incorporated into your event. The rental fee does not include climate control for the seasonal enclosure.

Available booking dates are mid-April through October. The venue is closed to events December through March.

The caterer will provide a customized proposal for all non-building related costs based on the specs for your event.
