Student pharmacists at the University of New Mexico will hold on October 7 a fifth annual statewide outreach effort, an event that provides care and information to people who are not often exposed to medical care. For one day, students from the school's College of Pharmacy set up outreach centers in different cities, offering immunizations, health screenings, drug abuse education, and medication information. Student pharmacist George Urias, who is leading the program, said: "This is great practice, this makes us really proud, [and] we hope to be doing this for many years to come."
