Genoa Healthcare opens 500th pharmacy serving behavioral health patients

Genoa Healthcare has opened its 500th pharmacy in the United States serving patients with substance abuse disorders, mental health challenges, and other complex, chronic health conditions. Genoa partners with community mental health clinics to provide pharmacy services to patients in the facilities where they receive their care.

Genoa Healthcare has opened its 500th pharmacy in the United States serving patients with substance abuse disorders, mental health challenges, and other complex, chronic health conditions. Genoa partners with community mental health clinics to provide pharmacy services to patients in the facilities where they receive their care. Co-locating Genoa pharmacies within clinics allows Genoa to build relationships with individual patients and their care managers, resulting in more than 90% medication adherence. Genoa Healthcare's 500th pharmacy, located in the Catholic Charities Behavioral Health Center in Queens, NY, will serve about 2,000 patients. This is the seventh Genoa pharmacy in New York state and the first integrated pharmacy in New York City.
