In anticipation of Hurricane Florence's upcoming landfall, Express Scripts is reminding patients to print their medication history, secure vital prescription drugs, and ensure adequate medication supplies as part of their emergency plans. In accordance with State of Emergency declarations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, Express Scripts has implemented emergency procedures for its members in these areas, which includes Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE beneficiaries and patients who fill medications via the company's Accredo specialty pharmacy. Members in the affected areas can obtain early refills to ensure they have sufficient medication prior to the storm, or to replace any medication that is lost or damaged. This override will be available to members in the affected areas through October 7, 2018. Express Scripts is also contacting affected home-delivery pharmacy customers and Accredo specialty customers to reschedule pending medication shipments as a result of the storm, or to divert the shipment to an alternate address, as necessary.
