Digital Pharmacist reports that it has raised $6.5 million in Series B funding led by Activate Venture Partners and LiveOak Venture Partners. The Austin-based digital health startup plans to use the new funding to expand the adoption of its suite of digital, communication, and adherence solutions. Digital Pharmacists says it will also focus on developing new products to improve patient outcomes. "Seventy-five percent of patients want to manage their health provider relationships via their mobile device. Our solutions help pharmacies meet these patient demands," said CEO Chris Loughlin. "With this new round of funding, we are inspired to work even harder on behalf of the thousands of pharmacies and millions of patients that use our products."
