CDC has updated its guidance regarding Americans who are fully immunized against coronavirus, meaning it has been at least 2 weeks since they received their second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines or their only dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

In November 2020, JAMA Surgery published the recommendations, which include pre- and postsurgery opioid education for patients and families, limited use of tramadol and codeine in children, and use of nonopioid analgesics for certain procedures.
