Metrohm USA has teamed up with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy to bring analytical instrumentation and software to student pharmacists and faculty at the school. The partnership will foster collaboration between Metrohm scientists and the research and education leaders at the School of Pharmacy. Under the venture, scientists from Metrohm USA will participate as guest speakers for the School of Pharmacy's biannual Tablets & Capsules Hands-On Short Course. Additionally, Metrohm USA will sponsor an annual $1,000 travel grant to support student pharmacists who are accepted to present their research at national or international scientific conferences. "This is a win-win for Metrohm and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy" said Ed Colihan, president and CEO of Metrohm USA. "Through this collaboration, we are able to work closely with the best and brightest in multiple fields, which allows us to discover new applications for our lab and process NIR spectrometers and other instrumentation."
