You and Your Pharmacist: A Winning
Team
Patient Education Video
A pharmacist’s role is continuously expanding within the health
care delivery system to be more patient-centric. To help you educate
your patients about a pharmacist’s expanding role on the health
care team, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has developed a
patient education video entitled You and Your Pharmacist: A
Winning Team. The video highlights some innovative
pharmacy practices that are happening in pharmacies across the country
and how pharmacists are having a profound impact on the health and
well-being of their patients.
How to Use
There are several ways you can utilize the You and Your
Pharmacist: A Winning Team patient education video to help
your patients and the general public grasp the critical role pharmacists
play on the nation’s health care team. The video was produced in
broadcast quality format so that it can be played in your practice
setting if you have the capability to play videos. You can also use the
video during presentations to your patients or patient groups, such as
diabetics or seniors; prospective or current pharmacy students; or your
community during a health fair. If your practice setting has a Web site,
the video can be streamed for viewing by your Web site visitors.
For those of you utilizing social networking or video sharing Web sites,
such as YouTube, Facebook or MySpace, you can upload this video to share
with your network of friends, family or colleagues.
