APhA-APPM Executive Committee New Practitioner Officer
Responsibilities
- To uphold the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association
- To promote the mission of the Academy and participate in the
implementation of its goals
- To attend all meetings of the Academy Executive Committee
- To promote the New Practitioner Network and encourage participation
of New Practitioners in APhA-APPM activities
- To chair all meetings of the Academy standing committee designated
by the Academy President
- To serve on and attend all meetings of the appropriate Association
advisory committee, if applicable
- To attend the APhA Annual Meeting and Academy events
- To carry out projects and/or initiatives of the Executive Committee
and the Academy, to delegate Standing Committee assignments and
follow-up on completion of those assignments in a timely fashion as
assigned by the President of the Academy
- To serve as an Executive Committee liaison to designated members
groups within Academy
- To serve as a delegate in the APhA House of Delegates

Nominees for APhA-APPM New Practitioner should possess, at a minimum,

Additional Information
- An APhA-APPM Executive Committee New Practitioner Officer reports to
the Academy President and represents the interests of the New
Practitioner membership of the Academy.
- Nominees for APhA-APPM Executive Committee New Practitioner must be
a New Practitioner member of APhA, elected and installed into term of
office within 5 years of graduation.
- The term office for APhA-APPM Executive Committee New Practitioner
is 2 years and begins the day after the close of the APhA Annual
Meeting, during which they are installed and concludes on the last day
of the APhA Annual Meeting two years following installation.
- The estimated time commitment includes: 3-day Academies Leadership
Meeting; one, 1-day Academy Officers meeting the day prior to the APhA
Annual Meeting; the 4-day APhA Annual Meeting per year, monthly
conference calls with Executive Committee; and committee assignments
that may require several hours for review and comment during the
year.
