Report of the APhA Board of Trustees Meeting - February 2009
The APhA Board of Trustees met February 6-8, 2009, in Washington,
DC. During the meeting the Board took a number of actions and
provided staff direction on many issues and activities including:
- Approved the submission of John Sterzinger of Waunakee, WI for
consideration of re-appointment to the Board of Pharmaceutical
Specialties (BPS) Nuclear Pharmacy Specialty Council for the term
2009-2011;
- Approved the appointment of the 2009-2012 Pharmacy Today
Editorial Advisory Board (EAB);
- Approved the appointment of the 2009-2010 New Practitioner Advisory
Committee;
- Approved the appointment of the 2009-2010 and 2009-2012 Community
Pharmacy Residency Advisory Panel;
- Approved the selection of Clark Gustafson of Bakersfield, CA as APhA
Treasurer, effective January 1, 2010;
- Approved the APhA Advocacy Agenda;
- Approved support for the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners
(JCPP) Position Statements on pharmacy experiential education;
- Approved support for the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners
(JCPP) Position Statements on language access;
- Received a report from the APhA House of Delegates Policy Committee
on the upcoming House of Delegates proposed policy statements;
- Received a report from the APhA Treasurer.
