Report of the APhA Board of Trustees Meeting – August
2009
The APhA Board of Trustees met August 18, 2009 via teleconference in
Washington, DC at APhA Headquarters. During the meeting the Board
took a number of actions and provided staff direction on many issues and
activities including:
- Approved the appointment of the 2009-2010 APhA Books and Electronic
Editorial Advisory Board (EAB);
- Reviewed APhA’s Advocacy Agenda and received an update
on health care reform activities;
- Approved submission of Melinda Joyce of Bowling Green, Kentucky for
appointment consideration to the Board of Pharmaceutical
Specialties;
- Received a financial update from the APhA Chief Financial
Officer;
- Received an update on Health Information Technology (HIT) issues and
activities;
