NATIONAL AWARD

University of Illinois at Chicago
In order to inject their expanding Immunization Initiative the University of Illinois at Chicago APhA-ASP Chapter had their entire P4 class become certified to immunize. In addition to their traditional efforts with health fairs, school visits, and flu clinics they targeted special populations by hosting educational booths at the AIDS Run/Walk and the American Lung Association Lung Walk. To battle the H1N1 hype they organized flu-shot kiosks at O’Hare International Airport to educate and screen travelers for both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines.
