Collaboration was key to USC's success. Since diabetes is a complex condition that requires lifelong care this chapter involved schools of dentistry and podiatry in their yearlong efforts. In order to address the diversity of their patients, screening forms were made available in different languages and translators were present to facilitate proper communication. Through their remarkable efforts they were able to screen 2,775 patients
