An important and unique aspect of
the APhA-ASP Chapter at Mercer University is that it was the
only committee to have student pharmacists from all professional years
actively participate in screening activities. Students and the community
gathered together at the local Hindu temple and for the No Heartburn
for the Holidays and Heartburn-Free Halloween events.
There they continued to socialize while sharing heartburn-friendly food
dishes and most importantly used these opportunities to help the
community recognize their heartburn symptoms and become better informed
about treatment options.
