What is the Leadership Training Series (LTS)?
Developed in 2007 exclusively for APhA-ASP members who want to
develop their leadership potential, the APhA-ASP LTS is a four part
series that will be offered over four years of student
pharmacist’s education. Upon completion of the series,
participants will receive an APhA-ASP LTS Recognition of Participation,
signed by the APhA Executive Vice President and the APhA-ASP National
President. This is an excellent CV or resume builder.
How do I earn my LTS Recognition of Participation?
You can earn your APhA-ASP LTS Recognition of Participation by
attending LTS sessions during the following APhA Meetings: APhA
Summer Leadership Institute (APhA SLI), APhA-ASP Midyear Regional
Meetings (MRMs) and the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition. At
each session you will complete an information form and session
questionnaire. You will earn one LTS credit used to obtain the
recognition of participation for each session you attend. Once you have
attended four meetings based on the combinations below, you will receive
your APhA-ASP LTS Recognition of Participation. It’s that
easy!
You can use any of the following meeting combinations to earn your
LTS Recognition of Participation:
- Four MRMs Sessions (1 per year covering a different topic);
- One SLI and three MRM’s;
- One SLI, two MRMs and one APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition
Session (APhA Student Leadership Development Workshop held at the Annual
Meeting);
- One SLI, one MRM, two APhA Annual Meeting & Expositions (APhA
General Student Leadership Development Workshop and the APhA Advanced
Leadership Development Workshop over 2 years);
- Two MRMs, two APhA Annual Meetings & Expositions: or
- Three MRMs Sessions and one APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition
Session.
How do I get my Recognition of Participation?
APhA Student Development Staff will send to your primary chapter
advisor certificates of recognition for the students who have
successfully completed the requirements of the APhA-ASP Leadership
Training Series via the US mail in the spring.
What else do I need to know?
You can earn a maximum of three LTS credits per year
and only earn one credit per topic. For more information or questions
