APhA Career Connection at the APhA2010 Annual Meeting
Career ConnectionThe APhA Career Connection, formerly known as the APhA Employment Exchange, is the premier career exposition for pharmacists, student pharmacists, pharmacy employers and other pharmacy career representatives offering face-to-face and online pharmacy recruitment opportunities. Career Connection will expose pharmacists and student pharmacists to career opportunities by connecting them with employers as well as representatives from advanced education programs.

Participants can explore opportunities in a variety of pharmacy practice settings, including: academia, clinical, community, health system, managed care and management. Pharmacy technicians can also explore career options.

Career Connection companies participating in APhA2010 will begin posting jobs via the APhA Career Center in early January. Information about APhA2010 is available now.

ImageTo make a sound career decision, you need knowledge about two important subjects: the pharmacy profession and yourself. The APhA Career Pathway Evaluation Program for Pharmacy Professionals will provide you with a process for making informed career decisions based on your personal and professional goals. The exercises associated with the program will inform you about the many areas of pharmacy practice that exist today and which pharmacy career path may be most appropriate for you.

Student Information Showcase: Community Pharmacy Residency Programs and Other Postgraduate Opportunities
Registration is now open for the Student Information Showcase to be held on March 13th 2010 from 3:00-4:30 pm at the APhA2010 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. This showcase provides an opportunity for community pharmacy residency programs and other postgraduate training programs to exhibit program materials and interact with students. Register now and reserve your space! Don't miss out on the opportunity to showcase your program to students who will soon be potential residency candidates! Last year 42 programs successfully marketed their programs at the showcase event to over 750 students. Programs  from all across the country are using this venue to successfully market and promote their programs on an annual basis. Register now and reserve your spot. Don’t miss out! Please complete and submit a registration form by mail or by fax, by January 31, 2010.
